My name is Kay Galbraith, and I work at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library. I have worked here for....I guess it will be 30 years this July. That is almost incomprehensible to me. For the first 23 years here, I worked the Reference desk, and loved it. For the last 7 years, I have worked in the Collection Development department. I get to order roughly half of the non-fiction collection. I love this job too! I have 2 twenty something kids who are well into all the social networking, so I have peeked over their shoulders and have a basic knowledge of some of this stuff, but this will be good for me to do it myself. It's probably about time.....

What little experience I do have with blogs involves food. My daughter is always sending me blog postings from some food blogs that she really likes, always with lovely pictures of delectable dishes, and I have found a couple of food blogs on my own that I enjoy. That should tell you quite a bit about me right there!

I'm pretty sure I will have to talk about food sometimes in MY blog....
